Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Dewy ("Dewy," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use the Dewy mobile application and related services (the "Service"). Dewy provides cosmetic skincare guidance only and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

1. Information we collect

We collect only what we need to analyze your skin and build your routine:

• Face & skin photos. Photos you capture or upload for skin analysis.
• Onboarding answers. Information you provide about your skin type, concerns, goals, and related preferences.
• Your city. Used to fetch local UV, humidity, and pollution data so your guidance can reflect your environment.
• An anonymous account identifier. A randomly generated ID that links your scans and routine to your account. We do not require your real name to use the core Service.
• Basic device & diagnostic data. Standard technical information such as device type, app version, and crash/diagnostic logs used to keep the app stable.

2. How we use information

• To analyze your skin and generate your Skin Map, skin score, and photo-by-photo findings across the six criteria.
• To build and personalize your AM/PM routine, ingredient guidance, and lymphatic drainage.
• To tailor recommendations to your environment using local UV, humidity, and pollution for your city.
• To let you track changes over time across multiple scans.
• To operate, maintain, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the Service.

3. Service providers & sharing

We share data with a small set of trusted processors strictly to provide the Service. They process data on our behalf under their own terms and security obligations:

• Supabase — authentication, database, and encrypted storage for your account, photos, and scan data.
• Anthropic (Claude) — AI analysis of your skin photos to generate your Skin Map, score, and findings.
• Open-Meteo — weather and air-quality data retrieved by city to make your guidance environment-aware.
• RevenueCat & Apple — to manage subscriptions, purchases, and billing for Dewy Pro.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to enforce our Terms, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and the Service.

4. AI & model training

Photos sent to our AI processor for analysis are not used to train AI models. They are processed only to return your skin analysis and are not retained by the AI processor to develop or improve their models.

5. Storage & retention

Your photos and data are stored privately and scoped to your account using row-level security, so your information is only accessible to your account. We retain your photos, scans, and account data until you delete them (or your account), after which they are removed from our active systems. Limited records may persist briefly in encrypted backups or where retention is required by law, and are deleted on a rolling basis.

6. Your choices & controls

• Delete account & data. In the app, use "Delete account & data" to permanently remove your photos, scans, and account.
• Requests by email. You can also contact us at hello@dewyskin.app to access, correct, export, or delete your data.

7. Your privacy rights (GDPR / CCPA)

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the data we hold about you, request correction or deletion, obtain a copy for portability, object to or restrict certain processing, and withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, use the in-app deletion control or email us. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

8. No sale, no advertising tracking

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising or cross-app tracking. Your photos and skin data are used only to provide the Service to you.

9. Security

We use encrypted storage and row-level access controls to protect your data, and we limit access to what is needed to operate the Service. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to safeguard your information and to notify you where required if an incident occurs.

10. Age requirement

Dewy is intended for users aged 17 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 17. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
